Brief History: The name Senegambia refers, even before the Senegambia Confederation , to the geographic region covering the present republics of Senegal and Gambia, covering the watershed of the Senegal River and Gambia River , indeed as the name of a British colony 25 May 1765 - 30 January 1779, broken up when only Senegal was retaken by France. more is coming soon.
